Uncover the Grand Stages of Paris

Stade de France

Located in Saint-Denis, just north of Paris, Stade de France is the largest stadium in France, with a seating capacity of 80,000. Constructed to host the 1998 FIFA World Cup, where France famously clinched victory, the stadium has since become a premier venue for major international sports events. Designed by architects Michel Macary, Aymeric Zublena, Michel Regembal, and Claude Costantini, the stadium features a distinctive elliptical roof and a removable stand system that reveals an athletics track, making it versatile for various types of events. Since its inauguration, Stade de France has hosted the World Athletics Championships in 2003, Rugby World Cups in 2007 and 2023, and the UEFA Euro 2016.

Stade de France is not only a cornerstone for football and rugby, serving as the home ground for France’s national teams, but it also stages some of the world’s most spectacular concerts and cultural events. International superstars such as The Rolling Stones, U2, Beyoncé, and Coldplay have performed here, adding to the stadium’s vibrant legacy. Recent renovations have focused on modernizing its facilities to enhance the spectator experience while incorporating sustainable practices like energy-efficient lighting and waste management systems. As part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Stade de France will transform into the Olympic Stadium, continuing its tradition of hosting world-class events and reinforcing its status as a symbol of sporting excellence.
